Become a Member

You become a part of our community and organisation by becoming a member. Together, we form GAIA and help build the community. By joining, you connect with hundreds of other like-minded people.

With membership comes the right to vote at our annual meeting, e.g., to elect the organisation's board. We have a small yearly membership fee of 50 SEK (2024). Sign up by filling out the form below and paying this fee through Swish. After submitting the form, you will get more information on how to do so. The membership is valid for the current year of activity, i.e. from one annual meeting to the next. When a new year starts, all members have to rejoin.

The organisation is a community, and communication about its events is fundamental. The organisation need to communicate about events and other organisational information through occasional emails.

Membership fee

Membership is provided to the person who pays any applicable membership fee and works in accordance with the purpose of the association. Membership requires personal registration in the membership registry with name, social security number, and email address. Membership requires active and annual renewal and payment of any membership fee. The members can be expelled if they fail or injure the association. The Board decides whether to expel a member. The membership fee and its size are determined at the Annual Meeting. The membership applies from the time the fee is paid until the next Annual Meeting.

Personal information

The association reserves the right to save the members' names, social security numbers, and email addresses, allowing for the application of state-funded support. The Board is responsible for personal data and ensuring that members' rights regarding the storage of personal data are protected. The association ensures the membership register is available only to the Board, auditors, and the Annual Meeting.
